Our annual Council Christmas Party will be Tuesday, December 15th. Doors open at 5:30. Dinner will be served by 6:30. Suggested donation is $10 per person. The party will be at our hall at 3999 N. Dixie Highway. We will be celebrating with St. Henry Council 14698.
Ten 3080 Knights participated in a Corporate Communion at St. John the Baptist Church on May 17 at the parish’s regular 12:00 Noon Mass. Council Chaplain Rev. John Callan, Sch.P. was the celebrant. The Council will hold a Citizens with Disabilities Campaign (Tootsie Roll Drive) at St. John the Baptist on June 13 and 14.
We will be ordering more dark blue collared shirts in the Fall, embroidered with the Knights of Columbus logo, Fort Lauderdale, Council 3080, and the member’s name. Fourth Degree General Assembly 157 will host their annual Memorial Day Mass at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South in Davie on Monday morning, May 25th. The cemetery is located at 2401 Davie Road (33317). Mass will begin at 10:00 with Fr. Robert Richardson as the principal celebrant. The Mass in the pyramid-shaped building will be followed by a blessing outside of the Knights of Columbus Memorial at the cemetery. The Fr. Michael J. Mullaly Assembly covers the councils in Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale. A carpool will leave from Council 3080.
Council 3080 will travel to the Miami Marlins game on June 15th (7:00). Tickets are still available for $35, through Deputy G.K. Austin Scott. The game will be the first for the New York Yankees in Marlins Park. Friends, family, and Knights from other councils are welcome. Parking passes are available for $15. The Fort Lauderdale Council (3080), and 4th Degree Assembly 157, will celebrate mass in Davie on May 26th starting at __:__ at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South. 3080 Knight Fr. John Callan, Sch.P. will be the principal celebrant. Reverend Callan, a Piarist Father, teaches at Cardinal Gibbons and says mass at St. John the Baptist. Our council has long had a memorial at the cemetery. The cemetery is located just South of I-595. Take Exit 7 and head South on SW 64th Avenue. The address is 2401 Davie Road (33317). Look for the pyramid-shaped mausoleum. We will carpool from the Council Hall at __:__.

The Knights of Council 3080 will celebrate 9:30 mass together at St. Pius X on Sunday, May 18th. All Knights of Columbus are to wear a jacket and their lapel pin, as they will process in and sit together. They will be joined by 4th Degree Color Guard members. Father Gerald “Jerry” Morris will be the principal celebrant. He is a 4th degree member of 3080, and our archdiocesan chaplain.
